PH Level and our health is one of the scientific ways that our body works and performs on a daily basis.


PH stands for potential of hydrogen, which is a measurement of the hydrogen ion concentration in the body. The total pH scale ranges from 1 to 14, with 7 considered to be neutral. A pH less than 7 is said to be acidic and a pH greater than 7 are basic or alkaline. 

Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. In fact, hydrogen makes up an estimated 90 percent of all atoms. In most cases  when you hear about hydrogen, it is usually in the context of outer space, in the science laboratory experiments or as fuel source for cars. However hydrogen is also a crucial element in the operation of the human body.

One major way that hydrogen is used in the body is in water. Water(H2O) is made up of two third hydrogen atoms. That is why water is so important and  it is made up of over 60 percent of the human body. Because of hydrogen , the cells of the body are able to remain hydrated, which mean toxins and waste are able to be eliminated from the body, also nutrients are able to be transported to the cells that need them, your joints is lubricated, and your body's immune system is able to send defensive cells to fight infection-causing fungus, bacteria and viruses. Hydrogen also plays a crucial role in the production of energy in the body.

Acidity of the body and it's effect on our health.

Acidity of the body indicates the concentration of acids in the body fluids which create an unhealthy environment where illness , bacteria and yeast can  thrive and survive. It also takes mineral from vital organs and bones to neutralised the acid and remove it from the body. Because of this, the body's mineral reserves calcium ,potassium and magnesium can run dangerously low, causing damage that can go undetected for years until it reaches unhealthy levels and leads to acidosis( is the overproduction of acid in the blood).

Many people are already consuming acid forming foods such as dairy, grains ,meats and sugar. since the body is constantly generating acidic waste products from metabolism(Breaking and converting food into energy), those products need to be neutralised or excreted in some way. In order to to neutralise the constant acid generation, we need to supply the body with more alkaline foods.

  • Low energy and chronic fatigue

Alkalinity of the body on the other hand  means the capacity of the body fluid like blood .saliva ,urine to neutralised the acids. Our body needs these fluids for the most vital functions, like digestion ,transporting of nutrients and oxygen throughout the body , protection and overall lubrication of the body.

How to check your pH level.

Just ask at your pharmacist for a pack of pH test strips. You can test your pH levels often throughout the day, but try to do so at the same time each morning, as your body will be more acidic, the earlier you measure. The goal is to get your morning urine pH between 6.5 and 7.5 . whatever is your result please consult your doctor for medical advise and pay attention to your diet .

Water and weight management.
Water intake is very essential for our overall health and wellness. Water helps maintain the balance of our body fluids. Our body is composed of about 60% water. The function of our bodily fluids includes help with digestion and elimination , absorption, circulation , transportation of nutrients and maintenance of body temperature.

Eating real food everyday and leaving the junk and processed food for family day out .

What is the real food ?
Real food is food in its most natural state. Real food to me are whole foods of nature than a product made in the industry or food factory. Raw food that you cook yourself from scratch.
Examples are 100% whole-grains rice , whole grain , spaghetti ,whole grain pasta , quinoa ,Bulgur wheat, Barley ,Millet , spelt , whole rye , chia seeds, flax seeds ,Sorghum ,whole-wheat bread, yam, potatoes, sweet potatoes beans , chickpeas and other legumes.

Lots of  fruits and vegetables preferably organic as they are few cents more  expensive than the regular ones. Be encourage to shop for these at your local farmers market to reduce intakes of pesticides and other preservatives. Know your local farmer if possible.

Drinking plant based milk in cereal and tea is a better option as they are made from planets with no added  animal hormones.
