Fasting is a grace that significantly increases our ability to be receptive to the lord's voice and his word. Fasting provides unique spiritual benefits in the life of the believer.

Fasting requires self control and discipline as one denies the natural desires of the flesh. During fasting , the believer's focus is removed from the physical things of this world and intensely concentrated on God.

Fasting directs our hunger towards God. It clears the mind and body of worldly attentions and draws us close to God. This allows us to hear God more clearly. 

Fasting has also proven as a profound need for God's help and guidance through complete dependence upon him.

Seeking the face of God in fasting and prayers is essential as a christian . Be encouraged to observe this on a weekly basis. According to the  word of God in (Matthew 17vs 21) says and I quote, "But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." 

Seek the face of God concerning any issues of your life with the right spirit and God will answer in Jesus name amen.

The principle of fasting for our physical health is simple. 

When the intake of food is temporary stopped, many systems of the body are giving a break from the hard work of digestion. 

The extra energy gives the body a chance to heal and restore itself, and burning stored calories to get rid of toxic substances stored in the body.

There have been studies that support fasting as an excellent tool for weight loss... Fasting provides secretion of human growth hormones, which is important for burning fat.

Fasting actually shrinks the stomach - not in a harmful way, but restoring it to it's normal size that is why people tend to be satisfied with less food after fasting. other benefits is as follows,

Water intake is very essential for our overall health and wellness. Water helps maintain the balance of our body fluids. Our body is composed of about 60% water. The function of our bodily fluids includes help with digestion and elimination , absorption, circulation , transportation of nutrients and maintenance of body temperature.

Eating real food everyday and leaving the junk and processed food for family day out .

What is the real food ?
Real food is food in its most natural state. Real food to me are whole foods of nature than a product made in the industry or food factory. Raw food that you cook yourself from scratch.
Examples are 100% whole-grains rice , whole grain , spaghetti ,whole grain pasta , quinoa ,Bulgur wheat, Barley ,Millet , spelt , whole rye , chia seeds, flax seeds ,Sorghum ,whole-wheat bread, yam, potatoes, sweet potatoes beans , chickpeas and other legumes.

Lots of  fruits and vegetables preferably organic as they are few cents more  expensive than the regular ones. Be encourage to shop for these at your local farmers market to reduce intakes of pesticides and other preservatives. Know your local farmer if possible.

Drinking plant based milk in cereal and tea is a better option as they are made from planets with no added  animal hormones.
